Crystal Cradle Inc. is an art company based in Edmonton, Alberta. We produce and distribute 3 brands of eco-art and light-sculpture - Crystal Cradle, Electronic Ouroborus, and Parastra Intergalactic. We currently operate out of a large industrial bay studio that we named Spaceport Studio.

What kind of art do we make?

Crystal Cradle Inc. produces eco-art (short for "ecological art"), which means that all of our pieces are crafted with re-used or energy-efficient materials. We care about being good stewards of the Earth. We re-use existing waste materials and reform them in unconventional arrangements, creating beautiful pieces of art that inspire a sense of playfulness and imagination. Our products include eco-jewelry, creature sculpture, and decorative lamps.We also run an event decoration service, where we install fabulous custom-built lights [crafted with re-used and energy-efficient materials] for special events.

All Crystal Cradle Inc. products contain at least one of the following components :

Elements from nature, such as crystals and seashells

Upcycles trash, such as old computer and bicycle parts

LED's, a highly energy efficient source of light

Who started it?

Dylan Toymaker and Robin George are the co-owners and co-creators of Crystal Cradle Inc. They began the company together in january of 2008. Dylan is the artistic director, and does most of the designing and crafting. Robin is the marketing and adminstrative director, and handles most of the public relations for Crystal Cradle Inc.

Crystal Cradle Inc. enjoys engaging other people as co-creators for various projects. We often invite other artists to participate independantly in events that we are organizing. Other artists are sometimes hired to help us with festival gigs or to learn crafting techniques and help craft products.
